Lean Talks with Jeff Liker, Gert, Joakim and Pia

12th of February 2021, 14.00-16.00

In this Lean Talks we are visited by prof. Jeff Liker.

Jeff Liker is one of the more knowledgeable and famous people in the Lean world. He has co-authored over 9 books including the best-selling The Toyota Way. He has recently published the second edition which is not just a rewrite but completely updated. In this webinar Jeff shares why he now puts scientific thinking in the center of lean.

Lean Talks is a series of webinars. We listen to a presentation together, ask questions to the presenter and then we reflect, analyze and discuss from our studio. The chat will be open at all times so your questions will guide the topic of the conversation.

The plan is to run Lean Talks 6 times per year and we kicked off on December 11th with an applauded presentation by Einar former VP of sales and service at Volvo and now CEO of Rejmes (he is also mentioned in Jeff’s book Toyota Way to Service Excellence and Toyota Way second edition) and Peter, plant manager at Scania with over 17 years’ experience of Scania Production System.  This was followed by an intensive learning discussion. Next time is with Jeff on February 12th and then we will have two more times before the summer on 16th of April and 11th of June.

The three hosts and panel for Lean Talks are Gert, Pia and Joakim:

Gert Frick is a former Director at Volvo Cars Manufacturing system. Gert has also been CEO of the Japan Management Association and Vice President at Scania with overall responsibility of the Scania Production System (SPS).

Pia Anhede and Joakim Hillberg have been consultants for over 25 years with a focus on the implementation of lean. They have experience from long-term lean transformations in a wide range of settings from heavy industry to service industry, parliament, healthcare in over 16 countries.
